On-site facilities

Gorse Lodge has a fully equipped gym in a separate building in the grounds. There is a hot tub on-site on the patio to the rear of the Gorse Lodge property.

An additional charge is incurred for post use cleaning for the gym and hot tub.

The Games room in Gorse Lodge is an ideal way to spend a rainy day. There is a pool table, card table and cinema with tiered seating for 6.

Clay Shooting

Gorse Lodge is located at an active clay pigeon shooting ground and offers clay pigeon shooting & lessons with a CPSA registered tutor, fishing & beautiful grounds to walk.

The Brandon Woods Clay Shooting ground is open weekends and selected weekdays, all the latest information can be found on their website.

The Shooting ground also has a cafe offering breakfast rolls, cakes & hot drinks.

Fishing

The two, well-stocked lakes are a perfect way to spend some time coarse fishing. Bring along your own tackle to make the most of the lakes on your doorstep.

Woodlands

Gorse Lodge is surrounded by woodlands which are full of activity, especially at night.

Paths through the woods lead you to a hide set up for those interested in spotting badgers, the set has been here for over 100 years. You can also spot deer and various feathered species including partridge, pheasant, pidgeon, owls and birds of prey.

The historic market town of Newark is 8 miles from Gorse Lodge and is where you will find the nearest supermarkets. While Lincoln, with its medieval Cathedral, Castle and galleries is 18 miles along the A46.

The grade 1 listed stately home Belvoir Castle, used as the backdrop for The Crown, is 18 miles away. The boutique shops and cafes at The Engine Yard are within the Belvoir Estate, nestled in the historic Vale of Belvoir.
